Sensor + Weight: The 3360 has always been flawless for me on all mice using it. I'd categorize this mouse as medium weight, while it isn't as light as I'd like it to be it's still a very balanced weight that I never felt was a hindrance, I really like how it feels after installing a paracord. 8/10 If you’ve got larger hands (or you are a palm gripper with smaller hands) you can always go for the larger S1 so there’s plenty of options out there for basically any grip type and hand size. The S line isn’t exactly new anymore so you might already be familiar with the shape. It’s a medium-small ambidextrous mouse (side buttons can only be found on the left side though) with a comfortable shape. More on that in the next section though.

I have 19x10cm and use a claw grip where the mouse is usually 45 degree angled and takes support from the right side of my palm, and the G100s is my dream shape.Zowie is one of the most used brands in the competitive gaming scene. Their mice are tailor-made for (tactical) shooter games, and that shows in their usage numbers. The brand has consistently been on top in our most used lists for games such as CS:GO, which is not a surprise seeing as their most used line (the EC) was co-developed with professional Counter-Strike players. All in all the S2 is yet another great feeling and fitting Zowie mouse so if you feel like the FK line is perhaps a bit too long and flat for you it can be a great idea to try out the S1 or S2. Will these small improvements be noticed by the majority of people? Some will, some won’t, but that doesn’t matter. The S2 isn’t just a refresh of an existing model: it’s an entirely new mouse and design that offers up everything that’s made Zowie such a popular brand in the first place, and more. Zowie are famous for their amazing shapes (among other things) and the S2 and S1 absolutely deserve to wear the Zowie logo in this regard.The S2 is an ambidextrous mouse with a pretty compact design and they really hit the mark once again with this shape. It’s a safe and super comfortable ambi shape and I find it hard to imagine that anyone would actively dislike this design. No shape is perfect for everyone obviously, but Zowie really do pay attention to the design of their mice and the S continues that tradition. Zowie are famous for their plug and play principles. If you’re a gamer who’s playing at a different LAN tournament every weekend you don’t want to be messing around with an endless stream of software programs to set up all of your peripherals, so Zowie mice are good to go the moment you plug them into your machine.You can change the DPIand polling rateon the bottom of the mouse if you want, and that’s it. No nonsense, just headshots. If you like everything that you’re reading here but you have larger hands then you can always steer towards the S1 model, which is the exact same as the S2 but with slightly larger dimensions. Buttons and Scroll Wheel The S2 is a small-medium sized mouse with an ambidextrous design. What’s immediately noticeable is that Zowie has opted to skip the side buttons on the right side of the mouse which were present on all of their former ambidextrous models. This was done to eliminate any possible interference with grip. The basic principle of Zowie’s scroll wheel philosophy remains the same with the S line; it’s a 16-step wheel which was chosen because having fewer step makes it easier to switch weapons or what have you (whereas a wheel with more steps increases the probability of scrolling too far) and that’s great for gaming where you want to be as precise as possible with your mouse wheel, but not so great for intensive browsing. The S2 is a gaming mouse though, and in that context it’s a perfectly fine wheel. It’s pretty loud and rigid feeling, but I feel like Zowie has made steps forward when it comes to the overall feeling of it: the scroll wheel on older Zowie models could sometimes feel a little rattly and flimsy, but that’s not the case here. I know how a real aftermarket paracord feels (they are more flexible still, but that’s because companies have to follow certain industry standards when producing electronic devices such as mice, and that mostly doesn’t allow them to compete with ultra flexible aftermarket alternatives) but I wouldn’t bother switching out this cable if I were to main this mouse (and I might, since I love the S2 shape and the updates that they’ve made to the mouse). Sensor and Everyday PerformanceThis doesmean that you won’t be able to customize the precise DPI settings or anything like that, but the included DPI steps of 400, 800, and 1600 (there’s also 3200, but that’s far less common) are by farthe most used DPI settings so the vast majority of gamers won’t need anything else. Conclusion & Recommendation As always, you should take this section with a grain of salt. Us reviewers can only give you a rough guideline when it comes to grip and size compatibility. You might have huge hands and prefer smaller mice, for example, or you might be a fingertip gripper who likes ergonomic mice. All these ‘grip/hand size guides’ should be used as a baseline. Buttons and Scroll Wheel Zowie is still using the 3360 in their mice. That’s an older one but if you ask me it doesn’t really matter. It’s a flawless sensor either way. I found no traces of any malfunctions during my testing either, so Zowie has implemented it well if you’re asking me.

I actually messaged Zowie support prior to publishing the review to make sure and they said nothing has changed so yeah. That said; it’s always possible that Zowie has been streamlining the QC process or making it more stringent, or it could be that some reviewers had a bit worse buttons on their Divinas or something. No mouse is the same of course. TechLand offers you the lowest price of Benq Zowie S2 Accessories: 3,999৳ instead of 8,700৳ regular price. I feel like I can be pretty brief here. The days of gaming mice using sensors that can spin out or have accelerationor any of that nonsense are over. A lot of people (myself included) weren’t really fans of the glossy/matte mixture that Zowie were using on their newer standard models so it’s good to see that they have improved on this coating. I included a picture comparing the S2 almost fresh out of the box to a barely used EC2-B to illustrate this difference. With both coatings in mint condition it’s clear to see that something has changed.That’s not to say that you needa bungee to make this mouse usable though. I always test mice with and without a bungee and as is usual with Zowie I didn’t have an issue with the cable in either test scenario. Due to the shorter overall length and smaller size I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this mouse for palm grippers with medium to large hands, but most of this obviously comes down to personal preference so take this section for what it is: a rough guideline. The S2-Cis one of the better ambidextrous mice out there if you’re looking for a smaller/shorter mouse of this type for your competitive gaming fix and it’s one that you should definitely take a look at if you’re in the market for an ambidextrous mouse. Doubly so because the S shape hasn’t been copied to death like Zowie’s FK and EC lines, meaning that it’s still rather unique in today’s market. Zowie’s credo when it comes to their gaming products is ‘performance over everything’. The S2 therefore doesn’t have any RGB lighting (except for tiny indicators on the bottom) and it doesn’t require any software at all to use. Everything is done on the mouse itself, and that’s great news for people who are often gaming on the go. Just plug it in and you’re good to go.
