About this deal

The bracelet is made from stainless steel and it comes fashioned in a classic three-link oyster style. The simplistic design of the oyster is celebrated for its practicality as well as its elegance. A deployment clasp is used to fasten the bracelet around the wearer’s wrist. The Functions: The Hamilton Khaki Field is another amazing-value watch that simply punches way above its price point. I’d argue it’s one of the few watches that competes with the SARB033/35 in terms of value, dollar for dollar. In fact, their modern Prospex Alpinist lineup is some of my favorites yet. If you’re someone who loves the versatile nature of the SARB, but wants something a touch more sporty, the Seiko Prospex Alpinist SBDC087 will certainly speak to you. The green dial and green nylon strap are nice to look at and would team up well with a white linen button-down, solid colored t-shirt, or even a casual summer suit sans tie.

Seiko has an outstanding reputation for its quality craftsmanship and damn-near bulletproof movements. They also happen to be available at very reasonable price points, which can often be confused with average quality. While the Seiko SARB033 and 035 have officially been discontinued, Seiko hasn’t stopped releasing amazing watches altogether. Wanted to get an older Seiko 5 model before the supply runs out for good. I limited my choices down to the SNKL23 and SNKL45 as an everyday/ dress watch, but I can't decide on which I like more. The SNKL45 has the nicer case and bracelet, but the SNKL23 has the nicer dial IMO. I know the SNKL23 is famous because of the HODINKEE article. Thoughts? Would it be worth it to just put the SNKL23 dial into the SNKL45 case? I'm planning on buying my first pair of watch but I'm still contemplating between either the SNKL15/SNKL23 or SNKL41/SNKL45. I haven't properly decided which colour I'm going for. While Seiko has seemed to have abandoned sub 40mm watches in most of their modern releases, the 37.5mm of the Seiko 5 SNKL45 and SNKL41 will get you roughly the same dimensions as the SARB when worn on the wrist.

The Seiko SNKL45 is a mechanical automatic watch with movement-case reference 7S26-01V0. It houses the 7S26 caliber with 21 jewels, running at 21600 bph with an accuracy of +45/-35 seconds per day. It has a 41 hours power reserve, no hand-winding and no stop seconds hand function. Ref. If there is a SNKL45K1 or SNKL45P1 it is made elsewhere in Asia, does not say "Made in Japan" on the dial and is more likely to have Spanish as the second language for the day. As you can imagine, a company that was founded in 1881 is going to have a few vintage watch options to pull from. So many. There are just so many. But if we’re talking widely available options that you can find outside of hobbyist’s collections and one-off dealers, which we are, then we need to be talking about the vintage-inspired SNKP23 Recraft.Coming in slightly larger at 39.9mm, with less variety of finished surfaces, and without any lume whatsoever, it wears quite a bit visually larger, and more subdued than the SARB on the wrist. WatchNation is a company registered in England and Wales at 15-17 Charles Street, Hoole, Chester, CH2 3AZ, UK.

When purchasing a watch which has a metal bracelet with adjustable links, we will gladly adjust the watch bracelet to fit your wrist before sending the watch to you - free of charge! The dive watch wears a lot of hats. Some are catered to the world’s professional divers out there braving the oceanic depths. Others are catered to the swan divers out there braving the deep end of the neighborhood pool. The Seiko 5 Sports SRPD51 falls heavily into the latter camp. Made by master craftsmen in one of Seiko’s luxury micro-studios, Grand Seiko timepieces are made of far superior materials to the brand’s flagship collections. This makes them way more expensive, sure, but the quality is right up there with that of some other luxury watchmakers.

Also, I wouldn't let an article written on the other to influence my decision. Not sure why you mentioned it.

With a case shape and rounded bezel very similar to that of the SARB, the SBDC087 is a watch that would work just as well for an outdoor adventure as it would when worn with a suit, paired with the right dress strap. The Seiko SARB033 and SARB035 are well-known for being watches that look and feel much more expensive than they really were.
