Out of the box, you just plug it in, fire up the MOTIV app, and make a few adjustments to your recording levels. The app is very straightforward to use, and allows you to adjust a number of settings to produce the cleanest recording. There's even a Near/Far option that automatically boosts recording levels if you’re positioning the mic away from you.
