About this deal

Vivid neutral to crisp W shape with light bass, the Snow is not exactly cold as winter but sure mature and serious in it’s sound presentation. Many discriminating users, however, noted that the popular tuning of the Aria had deviated somewhat from The Aria snow edition comes in a beautifully adorned winter themed box. Inside is the Aira, a white case, tips, and a much improved cable.

The lower treble region of the Aria Snow Edition is more highlighted and detailed compared to the upper treble register. The lower treble range shows an audible roll-off after the 6 kHz region that is tuned in a controlled manner. The presence of this area creates an efficient sense of clarity while listen to percussions, flutes or pianos. The subbass of the Hidizs MM2 shows slightly more quantity and depth than those of the Moondrop Aria Snow Edition. The midbass region of the MM2 is more highlighted that sounds more impactful and entreating with genres like EDM, Trance or Pop music. The Aria Snow Edition on the other hand has the slightly edge when it comes to the authority and clarity in this area. The lower midrange is moderately highlighted when I listen to male vocals or to instruments such like a viola or guitar. The upper midrange is the focal point of the Moondrop Aria Snow Edition that is produced with a decent sense of clarity and resolution when I do listen to instruments like a violin, piano or flute or to female voices like Adel or Aretha Franklin. I didn’t notice any remarkable sibilance or harshness, which is another remarkable highlight of the Aria Snow Edition. A Great IEM. Highs are smooth, Mids and excellent and lows are good enough. If you are a basshead, it's not for you. If you are someone who is looking for great mids and highs, this is well worth the money you spend. Does scale with better source, best to pair with some dynamic dac such as Questyle’s M15 or Tri TK2 to give the top end a little more energy if you prefer Mids are lush and it is very evident in Sinne Eeg’s We’ve Just Begun, plenty of details in the midrange and very pleasant to listen to when paired with Questyle’s M15

These earphones/IEMs are designed for discerning music lovers. If you are someone who cares about audio quality deeply, you'll want a pair of earphones/IEMs like these. You can expect them to present a Hi-Fidelity listening experience.Firstly, the Youth is notably brighter and more V shape, it’s balance is more wonky and unbalanced in treble part. Snow is notably more refined and balanced, sounding neutral to mid centric yet with higher resolution, especially in mid range. Treble is better controled and more linear, making Youth feel dark in some part and overly boosted in other, more spiky and shouty. Mids are clearer-cleaner and more present in definition with the Snow, but leaner in dynamic and bit thinner in vocal timbre, especially male vocal which are more bodied and upfront with the KAI, for female vocal, its a bit more shouty and fatiguing. With fast busy music the Snow keep its clarity and accuracy unlike Kai that can go messy and unbalanced, especially if their heavy bass line or hit. The Mids are neutral and more transparent, both Aria are well tuned in this but I think the SE is just a little better.

Metal mold casting and CNC milling technology is in line with ergonomics, makes use of a brand-new surface coating that emphasizes its metal texture with a complex and aesthetically pleasing snowflake pattern that perfectly matches the visual theme of pure snow.

Detail retrieval is good enough at this price point,it is not overly done to the point where it is too analytical The Moondrop Aria Snow Edition has a fairy linear bass response from the subbass up to the midbass area. It offers a good grade of authority and speed in this region especially in for an In-Ear Monitor at this price tag. The subbass region is moderately pronounced and slightly less highlighted compared to the midbass region. The Aria Snow Edition offers a sufficient level of depth and intensity, while wont show enough rumble for bass heavy genres like EDM, Bassline, Dubstep, Trance, etc. everything between 80 and 300 hertz. In this area, we’ve got instruments like bass guitar and the low end of a The Aria Snow Edition has a pretty smooth and natural treble tuning that is relative energetic but not overly bright, sharp or ear piercing. This area is shown with a good grade of authority, separation and extension that is not outstanding but that is produced in a way that will fulfill the expectation from a product at this price level.
