The Berghaus Air 400XL Tent is the latest addition to the Berghaus collection of inflatable Air tents. The 400XL sleeps 4 people but is a much bigger version than the Berghaus Air 400 The obvious alternative is the Eurohike Air 400, which is very similar to the Berghaus Air 4, slightly smaller though and much cheaper (you can find the detailed review of the Eurohike Air 400 here). You can buy an additional footprint to protect the sewn-in ground sheet from uneven ground. The ground sheet is taped to ensure that no water can leak through the seams. A 6000mm HH fly sheet protects you from heavy rain, snow and winds. That is okay for two camping chairs and a table, and there is some space for muddy boots and gear under the canvas, but the Air 4 XL is much more generous on space. Size Is Not Everything…We’re really pleased to have scored Berghaus Air 4 XL Tent so highly, givimg it 8.9 out of 10, making it well above the average for all 3 – 4 Person Tents. The inner tent on the Air 400XL is breathable to prevent condensation building up and each bedroom has fabric and mesh doors that can be zipped closed. There is good head room in both the living area and bedrooms. The bedrooms are darkened to reduce the likelihood of you being woken by early morning light.
