About this deal

Fancier sources were available but there was a conscious intention to replicate the listening context for 99% of consumers that would look at the P5S2 (although the Clip Zip with Rockbox has been found to measure well). I've even worn these cans blaring away in a library where I was in close proximity to the working librarian and have had no requests to turn the volume down due to the noise leaking out into the surrounding environment. For those of you accustomed only to ear bud-type phones, you will probably be in for a shock at how great your music can sound, even from an iPod. A blast of Muse's Psycho proves a rousing listen, the headphones maintaining the song's fist-pounding aggression. Happily there is no treble harshness and the treble presentation keeps it safe, though lacks the extra treble sparkle and extension of higher tier headphones.

I was so seduced by the idea of soft sheep's leather against my ears that I pulled the trigger on these only to regret the decision and have to sell them. The Electronica preset on iTunes for the iPad 3 will absolutely thrill you when you hit the play button on the Killer's "Battle Born. On this point headphone comfort will only ever be a personal experience and demonstration is key as your mileage may vary. B and W P5 Wireless brings you a remarkably natural sound and a luxuriously comfortable fit that makes longer listening sessions a pleasure. From your date of purchase your product is warranted against faulty materials or workmanship for a period of 60 Months all Passive Speakers, 24 Months Subwoofer Systems, 24 Months all Headphones, 24 Months all Multi media and 12 months on Stands and Accessories.

The black and silver color palette say that these headphones mean business, while the sheepskin, memory foam headband, and ear cups keep you comfortable. The one and only one possible deal-breaker is its isolation - it's almost non-existent in noisy environment, like on the underground or on buses, not to say on a flight. The treble is very shy and gives a veil to the sound, hiding away much of the detail and sparkle in the music.

Like the P5's, they all bring something different to the listening party, whether it's an expansive soundstage, ultra linear response, detailed highs, deep bass, midrange punch, or extreme comfort. The understated, classy P5 lineup is easily one of the best-looking headphone pairs made in the last decade. I've walked down a busy sidewalk with rush hour traffic zooming by barely 3 feet away from me and have been able to enjoy my music undisturbed by blaring horns and rumbling buses and trucks. It helps that the sound is clean, with barely a hint of the hiss we often get with Bluetooth headphones.Actually, let me reiterate the last statement because unboxing on-ear P5 felt like a deja vu since I already had a pleasure to test and to review its bigger brother: over-ear P7. And if I want to listen to the broadcasting on the underground, I can turn down the volumne or stop the track in no time.

Also, due to a construction with a removable connection inside of the earcup, I didn't sense any microphonics effect. There is enough grip for a brisk walk, but we would caution against anything beyond a moderate headbang. The Bowers and Wilkins P5 Wireless headphones iPod and iPhone headphones come with an Apple®-approved cable, for easy speech and device control.Get closer to your favourite music wherever you are with B and W P5 Wireless headphones noise-isolating headphones.

You need to experiment a bit to get best bass extension and articulation, focus, dynamics or to retrieve more ambience and soundstade depth. Mine worked pretty well for two years and I was delighted with the sound, and one day the left driver went out (not a cable issue). The bassline is deep and taut, the drums kick hard and there's enough texture easily to make out Matt Bellamy's laboured breathing. Thats why i never bought an On ear before, because I was pretty sure that I cant wear it comfortably for any amount of time. The reggae bass line on “Chop ‘Em Down” from Matisyahu’s Live At Stubbs was forceful and full sounding but well-controlled, while they also conveyed a good sense of space in the club. Leave your 24 bit reference recordings on your pretense/smug drive and plug the P5's into your iPad.
