If you want a system that doesn’t cost anything to maintain and love being in charge of how/where the video is stored, the Eufy Video Doorbell is great. It gives you complete control with no overhead cost. I am very impressed with this product and the support I’ve received for Valen from Eufylife Support. According to Eufy, the EufyCam 2 Pro’s battery will last up to one year before it requires recharging. As we’ve already mentioned, this figure is based on recording 20 videos per day, each at 30 seconds in length. We can’t confirm this ‘typical use’ figure since our testing involved heavy use of the camera over a short period of time. In terms of features, the Eufycam 2 has a built-in two-way microphone system that lets you yell at any potential intruders, as well as a night mode to capture any details in the dark.

Night vision using IR was especially impressive, and bested all of my other cameras in my home, including the eufyCam 2. As for the app, it could use some work as well. I'd like to be able to delete more than 10 videos at a time without having to scroll down to load more. Like I said earlier, 200+ videos in one day was a bit much and deleting them took forever.

I've been using EufyCam 2 for the last six months. Here is what I like about it, and why I think it's almost the best security system for your home.

Either tap the snapshot to view the footage from the motion detection, or view a list of motion detections from the current day. You can even access settings such as video quality, a battery life manager and access the ability to create activity zones, so you’re only alerted to motion in a particular area, reducing the number of unwanted notifications you receive. That is a massive advantage to other systems that try to squeeze you for a monthly subscription just to see the footage your camera has recorded.

Video quality is good, not 4k good but good. It does get blurry when zooming in, and when it takes a picture of someone's face. The Arlo Pro 2's free 7-day rolling-cloud storage and its deep app make it quite appealing. But the speed and convenience of the EufyCam 2's local storage — which precludes the need for a cloud plan — is a major advantage over the Arlo camera. What's more, unlike the Arlo, all of Eufy's features are available without buying a subscription. Still, in my tests, I had some issues with Eufy's audio. The Eufy's daylight videos weren't quite as detailed as the Arlo Pro 2's. And both have the same weakness: blurry, pixelated night-vision videos. Set Activity Zones around your home and avoid false alarms, like when it's just your dog playing with their toysMy 1 orginal camera and my new replacement are working flawless. The motion detection works well. But the geo fencing not great at times... I have updated my rating to 4 stars because the new camera works as advertised. And the costumer service for the replace was a great experience Features: The EufyCam 2 has decent features for the price, including HD resolution and human detection. Just know the human detection doesn’t work as well at night. What is the battery life and capacity? From a single 5 hour charge receive 180 days of battery life. The battery capacity is 6700mAh.
