About this deal

I still have my original half review saved on my notes and maybe one day I’ll post it. But I was in a completely different place then than I am now. And I think that is one reason why I could never have finished this review before now. i think one of my favorite scenes is the one with the quote i put above. the amount of times i’ve seen this quote literally everywhere, it just convinced me to read this book. there are so many scenes i loved, but i’m gonna be honest, i’m gonna stop writing now so i can continue reading unraveling an enigma. these books are so addicting i can’t stop. and i have two arcs i need to read by like tonight but i can’t bring myself to stop reading this story. Wow this novel is amazing you will definitely not be disappointed in Isaacs and Isabelle’s story it's hot and the chemistry between them is so hot it could set your kindle on fire.

The irony isn't lost on me that I have been yammering on about loving a detailed story but this was just too much. Especially because Isabelle is a snivelling mess who should not call herself an FBI anything. Not even an office attendant. Building and supporting a community of self-published authors dedicated to both sharing experiences and learning as equals. I loved Isaac and he is the perfect guy for my stories, but Isabelle was annoying as crap!! She cries over EVERYTHING!! He hates it and I hated it just as much. I was like, "She is an FBI agent....get over your crap." I love that although the characters evolved and developed over the story they never changed completely they just became better versions of themselves.Isabelle, or Izzy, is new to the FBI. She just got her first assignment to a team and is excited to finally be accomplishing the goals that she has been living for her whole life. Izzy also has a past that not many know or understand and that in many ways makes her an Enigma too. There were so many things that bugged me about this and the list will be below, read at your own risk. Isabelle decides that because of her job she can’t have anything to do with Isaac Holt but fate has other plans for the two and they keep running into one another. After several such meetings Isabelle decides she wants to spend time with Isaac, but she needs to keep her job a secret and as far away from them as possible. Through a series of events things start crumbling around Isabelle and she needs to start making some choices, before it is too late.

They never followed the rules at all. Especially during her murder trial, they were completely careless about seeing each other without real regards to the consequences.

This boxed set is the best way to explore this series and Ms. Boyes’ work. It’s incredible value for money, four books for the price of one and no wait between books. So, if you are intrigued by the series or are thinking about whether to get the boxed set or not, dive right in and go for it, you are bound to love them just as much as I did. But be prepared to develop a serious addiction to Ms. Boyes stories. My favorite Kindle note to write: “This is like reading Twilight but Mafia instead of Vampires. This is like tragically bad. I’m just reading it for shits and giggles at this point. Like this is tragic” All goes well until things start to get messy with her past crossing into his business dealings. He doesn’t enjoy working with mob bosses but does so to stay safe, and he is anything but thrilled when he discovers that Izzy is now on the crazy mob boss Col Petretti’s radar. “Col is one of the most ruthless, cold-hearted men I’ve ever met in my life, and I’ve met a lot of unscrupulous people the past few years.”

The review I started when I first finished is saved in my notes on my phone. I pass it and read it every single time I go to type out a review for another book and still I couldn’t finish it. I never felt like it was right or that it was enough to fully explain this book and the emotions I felt and my love for this story. So, this is my review. I hope you enjoyed this little chit chat about the absolute monstrosity this book was. Now, at this point you may be wondering, “Natasha, if it was really this bad… why did you keep reading?” Now, Elle I do love her character and I shouldn't be so hard on her weakness because yeah, Isaac can turn me the hell on, so out in the real world I'd probably behave as she does. One huge surprise concerning her, for me was who and what her Father isIsabelle is setting of on her first assignment for the FBI. She is nervous and has a fear of flying, she’s making her way through the airport when she literally runs into the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen. He ends up helping her overcome her fears, distracting her and making her feel at ease, she is drawn to him- and they have a connection that’s electric. He intrigues her like no one else ever has before. But when she arrives at her destination she is given a file that will help brief her on her assignment, when she opens it, she sees the sexy face of the man who’d helped on the flight.
